Literary Lessons from the Lord of the Rings for first edtion of Literary Lessons from the Lord of the Rings. Lesson Plans for the second edition are included in the Teacher's Edition. However, this can give you an idea of how the work is divided. There are three different versions of the Lessons Plans. You can cut and paste these into your own word processor program and then edit them to suit your own class situation. On these links, you will also find pdf versions of the lesson plans that you can print. 1) Daily Lesson Plans for Advanced Students 2) Daily Lesson Plans for Younger Students 3) Weekly lesson plans for co-op classes. TWO NOTES: 1) There are a lot of suggested writing assignments. The number and selection of assignments is up to the discretion of the instructor. They should not all be assigned. I would suggest assigning 1-3 a week, but only grading one. (The student need not know which will be graded!) The practice of writing improves the performance, as is true for most skills. Your student is not graded every time he plays the piano either!
