OUR COMPANY: Hi! I am Amelia Harper, owner of HomeScholar Books. We have been homeschooling our own five children for almost 20 years. HomeScholar Books is a family-run homeschool publishing and distribution company dedicated to bringing quality resources to you and your family. Since we have spent 20 years looking for quality books for our kids, we understand your concerns and what you are looking for. I am the author of Literary Lessons from the Lord of the Rings, a contributor to the J.R.R Tolkien Encyclopedia, a conference speaker, and regular contributor to The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and other publications. I have a degree in English from a Christian university, almost 10 years experience as a classroom teacher and tutor, and a lifetime of classical reading as a homescholar myself. With advice from friends, educators, and other wise individuals, we are constantly looking for new and innovative literary resources for your family. We want to use our knowledge years of experience to help develop discerning readers in your home and to bring quality literature and educational products to enrich your lives.

OUR BOOKS: All books in this catalog are subject to availability, but that is rarely a problem. In addition to the products in this catalog, we often offer other books on our website, including a growing list of classic novels, fantasy literature, and other books written for Christian families. If you want to learn more about the resources in this catalog, please visit our website for more information, or call us with your questions. Items in the catalog marked with a HB are written and published by us. Items in the Catalog marked with a D in the Item Code are Dover Books, quality paperback classics that allow you to build a library of great books at minimal expense. We offer discounts on many of our books and offer special deals and Internet specials throughout the year. We offer more Journeyforth Books (JF) on our website. These are books written by contemporary Christian authors. We try to choose resources that are reasonably priced in order to help you build a great family library at a minimal expense. All of the books are paperback unless otherwise indicated.

OUR SERVICE: If you need help finding other literary resources, call or e-mail us and we will do our best to help. We do special orders and can get most titles for you, even if they are not in our catalog. Bring us your reading list and let us gather the resources for you! If you have a question about whether a product is right for your family, contact us and we can advise you! If you can’t get through the line, leave a message or send us an e-mail and I will personally respond as soon as possible.

SHIPPING AND RETURN POLICY: Orders over $50 receive free media mail shipping. Please allow three weeks for delivery of items. Usually, you will get your books much sooner, but this allows us to make sure all your items are in stock. If it looks like an item may be backordered for some reason, we will ship most of the order to you and ship the backordered item as soon as it gets to you (usually within a week.) If for some reason you ever feel the need to return a product that is in new condition, or experience an error with your order (as sometimes happens in a mortal world), please call or email us right away and we will be happy to correct the situation.
